My husband and I own a 42-year-old log home in Durango, CO. We had pervasive log rot due to diligently painting the exterior, and the sun then baking the south and west sides of the house. We had serious issues and we needed an experienced builder to repair the damage. Several log home builders walked away, indicating it was beyond repair. As we were reaching our wits’ end, we contacted Travis Uptain. He listened intently to our concerns as we pointed out the problem areas. He sat down with us and outlined a plan of attack for replacing the rotted logs. This was a BIG job that took eight weeks to complete, but the transformation is astounding and virtually maintenance free! Travis came to the table with great ideas that Bruce and I were easily able to wrap our heads around, and his implementation was timely and performed in a precise and professional manner. He’s an honest, stand-up guy whom I had the utmost trust and confidence in to keep the job going, even in our absence. I would work with Travis and his team again and again!
I really appreciated the communication. Travis kept us up to date and finished our deck in the time he said. We will definitely use Ironwood Outbuildings for our next project.

We love our new deck! Travis with Ironwood Outbuildings came in at half the cost of bids we received from other contractors for our 800 sq ft deck. He and his crew were professional, courteous, and dedicated to completing the job in a timely manner. The completed deck looks great and is solid as a rock. We look forward to many years of outdoor living on it. I highly recommend them.
